C-Card Scheme

What is a C-Card?

The C-Card (condom card) is a small card which will fit into your pocket, purse or wallet. Having a card means that you can get free condoms (internal and external), lubricant, and oral/dental dams as well as lots of information and advice. Most young people can get a c-card but you must be under 25 years old.

How do I get a C-Card?

To get a c-card requires you to have an initial assessment with a trained member of the reception team to register for a c-card. The assessment will be carried out in a private room and will take no longer than 15 minutes. The receptionist will go through the following:

  • Your age (you have to be under 25)
  • Check you are not in any danger
  • Check you are not putting anyone else in danger
  • What support you have from parents/carers and friends
  • Check that you understand all of the information that is being given to you
  • A condom demonstration
  • The products available and how to use them

Please speak to a member of the reception team if you would like to find out more.

Booking appointments

When contacting the practice to book an appointment, please be aware that you will be asked for information by the Medical Care Navigators.
