Medical Care Navigators

Medical Care Navigators (previously known as receptionists) will always do their best to help visitors to the Health Centre. They have a very demanding job and sometimes have difficulty meeting unrealistic expectations.

They answer the telephone, care navigate patients to the most appropriate service available, greet visitors at the reception desk and deal with queries and emergencies from all directions, often all at the same time! You may be asked for information they need to know to help them to ensure that patients see the most appropriate member of staff or service to deal with their situation. Anything you tell them will be treated in absolute confidence.

All medical care navigators have undergone training in Care Navigation, Customer services, CPR, IT, Clinical Coding, Telephone Technique and attend regular training sessions in the practice to keep up to date in their work.
